The Blue Quandong (Elaeocarpus grandees) Fruits are 15-25mm in diameter and are a well known bush food. They are the BLUE MUSICAL NOTES which litter the forest floor with their vibrant song. Flying foxes, birds, rats and cassowaries all eat them. I often find these in cassowary scats half digested as blue poo. The blue fruit contains a Hard seed which is often used to make jewellery. An mazing tall rainforest tree which has long leaves which turn a deep red colour.
